The incumbent will lead the field sales team across the assigned region, driving sales growth, Modern Trade execution, customer relationships, route-to-market effectiveness, merchandisings standard, and in-store execution. The role will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets while developing a high-performing team and ensuring strong execution of commercial plans, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and brand guidelines across key retail outletsField Area Manager – Saudi Arabia - 2 PositionsLocation: Riyadh / Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaDepartment: SalesSalary - AED 15,000 to AED 20,000 + CommissionReporting to: Head of SalesEmployment Type: Full-time, On-siteTravel: Field-based / extensive market coverageKey Responsibilities1. Commercial Growth & Sales ExecutionOwn and deliver the assigned city/region's monthly sales targets in line with customer and commercial plans.Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior customer and retail stakeholders.Develop, review, and optimize team call plans to maximize productivity and outlet coverage.Lead the implementation of weekly and monthly promotional activities and provide market feedback to management.Negotiate ways of working with customer stakeholders and align business processes to maximize brand presence and sales.Ensure full compliance of the sales team with customer SOPs and operating guidelines.Drive excellent in-store execution, including product availability, visibility, planogram compliance, shelf standards, and merchandising.Monitor market dynamics, customer requirements, and competitive activity and recommend improvements to ways of working.Identify opportunities to improve Route-to-Market (RTM), operational efficiency, sales productivity, and service levels.Manage and resolve customer service issues with appropriate tracking and follow-up mechanisms.Lead and monitor the execution of seasonal campaigns, promotions, and in-store activations, ensuring agreed KPIs are achieved.2. Team Management & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop the field sales team to achieve business and individual KPIs.Manage the onboarding and induction of new team members and ensure effective on-the-job training.Identify high and low performers and implement appropriate development and performance improvement plans.Conduct regular team meetings to align the team on business priorities, performance, challenges, and action plans.Build a high-performance culture based on accountability, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.Foster strong collaboration between the field team and internal/external stakeholders.Evaluate resource requirements across the assigned region and provide recommendations to management.Lead by example and motivate team members to consistently deliver high-quality execution.3. Trade Updates & Business ReportingPresent monthly regional sales performance, achievements, challenges, and action plans to management.Provide regular updates on market trends, customer developments, and opportunities for improvement.Consolidate key trade insights, competitor activities, market intelligence, and customer feedback from the assigned region.Monitor team development and performance and communicate resource, budget, or operational requirements to management.Use relevant sales and market data to identify opportunities and support commercial decision-making.Key Internal & External StakeholdersInternal:Head of SalesKey Account ManagersCustomer/Trade MarketingCustomer ServiceOther cross-functional stakeholdersExternal:Category ManagersStore ManagersRetailer/Customer representativesMerchandising teamsSales agencies and activation partnersDirect ReportsField Sales Representatives – Modern TradeCandidate RequirementsProfessional ExperienceMinimum 5 years of sales experience, including proven experience leading a sales or field team.Proven experience in team leadership, coaching, and people development.Strong exposure to Modern Trade, Key Accounts, Sales, and Merchandising initiatives.Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets and driving execution across multiple outlets.Experience managing field sales teams and implementing structured call plans.Strong understanding of in-store execution, promotions, planograms, availability, visibility, and merchandising standards.Preferred ExperienceExperience within the FMCG sector is strongly preferred.Experience in confectionery, chocolate, food, beverage, or other consumer goods will be an advantage.Experience with a multinational company or established FMCG distributor is preferred.Saudi Arabia market experience is highly desirable, particularly within Modern Trade.Leadership & Behavioral CompetenciesStrong action orientation and drive for results.Ability to motivate, influence, coach, and develop team members.Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.Entrepreneurial and curious mindset with a willingness to identify and implement new approaches.Strong ownership and accountability.Proactive approach to identifying problems and developing practical solutions.Leads by example and demonstrates a positive, energetic, and performance-oriented attitude.Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.Language SkillsFluent English and Arabic, both written and spoken.Other RequirementsStrong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a highly field-oriented, fast-paced commercial environment.Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
