Department: EngineeringJob ObjectiveSupport and run vehicle and laboratory test projects during times of elevated resource requirements to ensure the deadlines are met as per the SOPsOrganizational Relationships:Reports to: Trials and Prototyping ManagerInternal Communication:Operations Team MembersInternal Audit DepartmentExternal Communication:Suppliers and vendorsExternal and outsourced auditorsFunctional ResponsibilitiesMinimum of 10 years of blast testing experience (at least 50 events).

At least 5 years of experience in the automotive (defense sector) testing. A minimum of 5 years of ballistic testing experience is desirable.In depth knowledge and experience with Humanetics ATD's (crash dummies) - assembly, dismantling, and upgrading.In depth knowledge and experience with using high speed camera's used in blast test events.Extensive experience in DTS 'In-Dummy' data acquisition systems is required.Ability to use Matlab to process ATD survivability data is essential.Experience with operating data acquisition systems (SoMAT eDAQ) for data collection of vehicle instrumentation with thermal couples/accelerometers/strain gauges/pressure sensors/load cells/LVDT/etc is a prerequisite.Experience with the using application and performing measurements with strain gauges is desirable.Experience with various test labs (broad contacts) in the field of survivability testing is essential.Ability to organize workload and meet deadlines is essential.Key AccountabilitiesAvailability of blast test equipmentPlanning and arranging blast / ballistic testsPreparation of test items for blast / ballistic testingData collection during blast tests.Key Performance Measures100% availability of certified HIII ATD for testing at all times and support equipment availability.No external intervention required for arranging tests (technical)On time readiness of blast equipment and test items.% Success rate in data acquisition.Job SpecificationsTechnical CompetenciesBlast test instrumentation knowledgeData acquisition during blast testsComputer Literacy (MS Office)QualificationsTechnical Diploma in the related field.Heavy Duty(vehicle) Driver's License is desirable.Excellent Communication Skills(verbal and written) in English
