Test Engineer Embedded SystemsJob SummaryWe are looking for a Test Engineer with hands-on experience in embedded systems testing, Python scripting, software testing methodologies, and communication protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, developing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases, executing tests, analyzing results, and tracking defects throughout the testing lifecycle.Experience with test automation equipment for embedded systems will be an added advantage.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze product and software requirements to understand functional and technical expectations.Prepare detailed test scenarios, test conditions, and test cases based on requirements and feature specifications.Develop and execute test cases to verify product functionality according to defined test plans.Perform functional and system-level testing of embedded systems.Develop and execute Python scripts for testing and test automation activities.Analyze test results and identify deviations, defects, and potential issues.Log, track, and manage defects using bug/requirement tracking and test management tools.Perform defect verification and support the complete bug life cycle.Analyze test procedures and test scripts to ensure adequate test coverage.Collaborate with development and engineering teams to understand and resolve technical issues.Maintain clear documentation of test cases, test results, defects, and testing activities.Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and automation practices.Required Skills Good understanding of Embedded Systems and embedded software/hardware testing.Hands-on experience with Python scripting for testing or automation.Good knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and standard testing methodologies.Strong understanding of the Bug/Defect Life Cycle.Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.Good knowledge of embedded communication protocols, including:CANMODBUSSerial CommunicationRS-232RS-485Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
