Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Test Technician for our Irvine, CA location. This role offers a great entry point for individuals looking to launch their careers, with comprehensive hands-on training in integrated test cell operation and development as part of a new partnership with a leading customer. This client is a top provider of highly parallel electronic test systems, including System Level Test (SLT), burn-in, and semiconductor/module tests. Our suite of high-performance test systems serves the global semiconductor industry. This opportunity is ideal for motivated, proactive, and hands-on professionals who thrive in a dynamic and engaging work environment. The position requires on-site attendance at our Lake Forest, CA office.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, test, and repair electronic systems, electro-mechanical assemblies, modules, and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA’s) down to the component level, utilizing schematics and other technical documentation.Install and assemble new electro-mechanical equipment and components, with the ability to perform rework using soldering tools and equipment considered an asset.Help production and engineering teams by supporting various tasks as needed.Demonstrate knowledge in executing test programs and running tests on existing equipment.Perform preventive maintenance on test stations to ensure optimal performance.Maintain, analyze, and interpret test data with accuracy.Troubleshoot and define diagnostic parameters to programmatically determine root causes of issues.Carry out all other duties as assigned.Be prepared for occasional travel as required by the position.Requirements, Education & SkillsAssociate degree in Electronics or a minimum of five years of equivalent experience.Proficiency in using equipment and hand tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), and power supplies.Experience with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes is advantageous.EPA 608 Certification is a plus.Skilled in electro-mechanical assembly.Demonstrate strong eye-hand coordination.Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.Solid understanding of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Effective communication capabilities.Flexibility to work either the first or second shift is needed.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a demanding environment.Capability to excel and adapt in a fast-paced workplace.Contract (through March 2027).Need flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift.
