With locations in West Bloomfield, Troy, and Novi, Tapper’s provides services including appraisals, custom design, repair, and estate buying while helping guests celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.Role Description The Timepiece Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Novi, MI. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, understanding their needs, and guiding them through Tapper’s luxury timepiece collections to help them select pieces that fit their style, preferences, and occasion. Day-to-day tasks include presenting and explaining features and craftsmanship of various watch brands, maintaining product knowledge on new releases and brand histories, and ensuring all timepieces are displayed and handled according to company and brand standards. The Timepiece Advisor will support sales transactions, prepare documentation, and coordinate any necessary watch services or repairs. This role also involves building long-term relationships with guests, following up on special orders, and contributing to a positive, collaborative showroom environment.Qualifications Strong luxury retail or customer-facing sales skills, including relationship-building, consultative selling, and guest service.Interest in and ability to develop expertise in fine Swiss timepieces, including brand knowledge, product features, and maintenance best practices.Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in an accessible, engaging way.Attention to detail and reliability in handling high-value merchandise, documentation, and point-of-sale systems.Ability to work on-site in Novi, MI, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.Collaborative mindset and comfort working in a team-oriented, service-driven showroom environment.Previous experience in jewelry, watches, or luxury goods is preferred but not required; training will be provided.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, hospitality, or related fields is a plus.
