Toolmaker | £50,000–£60,000 DOE + BonusA well-established manufacturer is looking for an experienced Toolmaker to keep production moving.This is a proper hands-on toolroom role. You will make, repair and maintain press tools, jigs and fixtures, get stuck into breakdowns when they happen, and help reduce downtime on the shop floor.The roleMake, assemble and repair press tools, jigs and fixturesStrip, inspect, fault-find and rebuild toolingCarry out preventative and reactive tool maintenanceProduce precision parts from engineering drawingsUse manual mills, lathes and grindersBench fit and assemble to tight tolerancesSupport tool trials and modificationsHelp production quickly when tooling goes downWhat we’re looking forProven toolmaking experienceStrong press tool, jig or fixture backgroundConfident reading drawingsManual machining and bench fitting skillsGood fault-finding abilityCNC would be useful, but is not essentialThe package£50,000–£60,000 DOEEarly finish Friday: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:00pmFlexible hours where neededPerformance-related Christmas bonus
