Tourism Development Specialist (Tamheer Program)Training Opportunity Description:The Tourism Development Specialist Trainee will support tourism development activities by studying and analyzing regional and international experiences and best practices related to tourism development, participating in the development of national tourism strategies and policies, supporting the planning and implementation of domestic and international tourism promotion activities, and collecting and analyzing data and information related to challenges and difficulties facing the tourism sector. The trainee will also support the preparation, presentation, and maintenance of specialized documents and reports related to ecotourism development.Key Responsibilities:Support the visitor experience by welcoming visitors, providing information, responding to inquiries, guiding visitors to benefit from available ecotourism activities, introducing them to the reserve and its objectives, and providing support to ecotourism service providers.Provide support and assistance in field activities and inspection tours, including information gathering and preparation of related reports.Support the marketing and design of products in accordance with the established methodology, including tracking orders and conducting inventory counts.Participate in the development of strategies, policies, procedures, and plans for tourism sector development in the Kingdom.Study and analyze regional and international experiences and practices related to tourism development procedures, assess their feasibility and potential applicability at the national level, and prepare recommendations and proposals on suitable approaches and best practices.Participate in planning and implementing domestic and international tourism promotion campaigns in coordination with ecotourism service providers.Study and analyze the challenges and difficulties facing the tourism sector, identify key issues, study and propose alternative solutions, and submit recommendations to the relevant stakeholders.Prepare specialized documents and reports related to ecotourism development, provide relevant recommendations and appropriate solutions, present and explain findings, and maintain the related information in the relevant database in accordance with approved policies and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.Fresh graduate eligible for the Tamheer Program.Basic understanding of tourism development, strategic planning, tourism promotion, and visitor experience principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical, research, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to collect, analyze, organize, and present information effectively.Professional proficiency in Arabic and working knowledge of English.Program Duration:6 Months.In addition to the requirements and qualifications stated above, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for the Tamheer Program in accordance with the requirements outlined by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). https://www.hrdf.org.sa/products-and-services/programs/individuals/training/graduate-development/.
