Apply & track with Apply EdgeTMI is seeking a qualified and experienced Tourism Security Vocational Trainer to deliver industry-aligned, competency-based training that prepares students for security and safety roles within the tourism, hospitality, hotel, resort, and destination management sectors.The successful candidate will combine strong practical security experience with effective vocational training skills, delivering hands-on instruction, simulations, workplace-based learning, and industry-relevant assessments.The role will contribute to developing students’ competencies in tourism security operations, guest and visitor safety, emergency response, risk awareness, incident management, and professional security practices while ensuring alignment with TVTC requirements, employer expectations, and Saudi labor market needs.Key ResponsibilitiesVocational Training & Instruction Deliver competency-based theoretical and practical training in Tourism Security and related subjects in accordance with approved curricula and learning outcomes. Conduct practical exercises, workshops, simulations, scenarios, and applied training reflecting real tourism and hospitality security environments. Train students on security operations within hotels, resorts, tourism destinations, events, attractions, and other visitor-focused environments. Deliver training in areas such as: Security procedures and access control Guest, visitor, and employee safety Security patrols and surveillance awareness Incident reporting and documentation Emergency and evacuation procedures Risk and hazard identification Crowd management and event security Conflict management and professional communication Security awareness and suspicious-behavior reporting Protection of tourism facilities and assets Integrate relevant industry procedures, professional standards, and current sector practices into training delivery. Apply practical and student-centered teaching methodologies that support competency development. Practical & Workplace-Based Training Coordinate and supervise on-the-job training (OJT), internships, field training, and practical security activities at approved industry locations. Support students during practical placements within hotels, resorts, tourism destinations, hospitality facilities, events, or other relevant environments. Monitor student attendance, performance, professional behavior, and achievement of required competencies during training placements. Maintain effective communication with workplace supervisors and relevant industry partners. Ensure practical training provides meaningful exposure to real-world security operations. These responsibilities follow the JD's requirement for workplace-based training and supervision of OJT and industry placements. Assessment & Student Development Develop and administer practical assessments, scenario-based evaluations, skills checklists, and competency assessments. Assess students' ability to apply security procedures effectively and professionally. Provide structured feedback, coaching, and mentoring to improve student performance. Identify students requiring additional academic or practical support and coordinate appropriate remedial actions. Maintain accurate student assessment records, attendance, competency logs, and training documentation. Curriculum & Training Development Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of Tourism Security training materials and curricula. Ensure training content remains aligned with current tourism, hospitality, and security industry practices. Support the development of practical exercises, simulations, case studies, and training scenarios. Participate in curriculum mapping, program reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Incorporate employer feedback and industry developments into training activities. Quality, Compliance & Documentation Ensure training activities comply with TVTC regulations, approved curricula, institutional policies, and quality standards. Maintain complete and accurate records of training delivery, assessments, attendance, and workplace placements. Support internal and external audits, inspections, and accreditation activities. Promote professional conduct, safety awareness, ethics, and appropriate security practices among students. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and institutional initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Security & Safety, Tourism Security, Risk Management, Criminology, Tourism/Hospitality with relevant security specialization, or a closely related field. Master’s degree is an advantage, provided the Bachelor’s degree is in a relevant field. TVTC Trainer Approval is mandatory. Experience Minimum 5 years of hands-on industry experience in security, preferably within tourism destinations, hotels, resorts, hospitality, events, visitor attractions, or other relevant security environments. Practical experience in security operations, emergency procedures, risk identification, incident management, or access control is highly desirable. Previous experience in vocational training, workplace supervision, or applied skills instruction is highly desirable. Experience working with students or trainees in a structured training environment is preferred. The 5-year practical experience requirement and mandatory TVTC Trainer Approval come directly from the TMI Vocational Trainer JD. Skills & Competencies Strong practical knowledge of security operations and tourism/hospitality security environments. Ability to translate real-world security experience into structured vocational training. Strong practical teaching, demonstration, simulation, and coaching skills. Competency in student assessment and skills evaluation. Strong understanding of professional security conduct and incident documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Ability to supervise students effectively during practical and workplace-based training. Familiarity with educational technology and Learning Management Systems is an advantage. Professional, hands-on, practice-oriented approach.
