Trade & Commercial Operations Specialist – Middle East

Our client is a biopharmaceutical company headquartered in USA, that focuses on researching and developing antiviral drugs used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, influenza, and COVID-19.Title: Trade & Commercial Operations Specialist – Middle EastFunction: Commercial OperationsContract Duration: 12-month (extendable)Reports to: Sr Manager, Trade Operations

Location: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaEmployment: Full-time, 5 days per week (Sun-Thu)Position Objective:The Trade & Commercial Operations Specialist supports the Trade and Commercial Operations of company's Middle East business.

The role is primarily responsible for executing Trade Operations and Supply Chain activities ensuring appropriate scheduling, routing, and delivery of orders and for the timely and accurate management of tendering and quotation submissions. The role additionally provides dedicated operational and administrative support to the Senior Director, and the wider Commercial Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Trade OperationsSupport Supply & Demand Planning activities, including the recording and tracking of related dataManage inventory levels and support Inventory Management processesManage the Purchase Order (PO) to invoice lifecycle: raising, amending, and tracking POs with distributors, and resolving logistics deviations in documentation such as pricing, batch, and quantity discrepanciesSet up and maintain prices and master dataPerform deep-dive analysis of information and data to support Trade Operations activitiesEscalate process or product deviations to the Trade Operations Senior Manager to ensure timely corrective action and mitigation across supply processes, inventory levels, requests for quotations, and returns.Record deviations from standard processes in the designated tracker, covering shipping and supply processes, inventory management, product complaints, and returns.Drive Operational Excellence and process improvement initiatives across Trade Operations.Tendering & Request for Quotations (RFQs):Ensure timely submission of all Requests for Quotation (RFQs).Manage tender submissions end to end and track tender performance.Commercial Operations Support:Support and coordinate activities related to Senior Director, Commercial Operations, including POs, invoicing, and budget reconciliationProvide administrative and organizational support to the Senior Director, including travel arrangements and presentation preparation.

Requirements

Prior experience in supply chain, trade operations, or operations support is an advantage.Solid computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working under high transaction volumes and tight deadlines.Detail-oriented with a strong customer service orientation in supply planning.Strong organizational and documentation skills to support governance, audit, and archiving requirements.Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage stakeholders effectively.
