Job Purpose To be responsible for all aspects of Import / Export (Trade) compliance to ensure that all international APAC business activities are conducted in full compliance with government regulatory requirements. This individual will lead and direct regional compliance efforts to meet all regulations while driving process and systems improvements to reduce costs and improve international shipment flows. The Specialist will collaborate with the corporate Trade Compliance team and global leaders in EMEA and the Americas to enable all APAC business units to remain compliant with US Customs, and other regulations in those countries in which Brady conducts business.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance: Manage denied party screening and regional trade regulation monitoringTechnical Oversight: Oversee and execute customs classifications, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) applications, and validations.Strategic Communication: Advise business leaders on regulatory changes and ensure staff are fully trained.Efficiency: Drive process and system improvements to reduce costs and optimize international shipment flows.Global Collaboration: Partner closely with EMEA and Americas Trade leaders to align regional activities with global standards.Auditing: Conduct audits of regional sites for compliance with good Import/Export practices and drive closure of any findings or shortfalls.Metrics Management: Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly Trade Compliance process metrics for the APAC region.Issue Resolution: Work with regional and corporate teams to address and resolve shipment problems within the region.Policy Adherence: Support and comply with Brady Corporation Global Policies, including Quality, Environmental, and Safety & Health policies as they relevant to job functions.The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and other related duties may be added from time to time.Requisite Criteria BS degree in Engineering/Technical discipline, Business, Logistics or Supply Chain, 3+ years of hands-on experience in International Trade Compliance, Customs Brokerage, or Global LogisticsStrong working knowledge of classification and FTA qualification processes.Familiarity with Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) operational requirements.Highly detailed-oriented with the ability to maintain perspective on operations while managing complex regulatory data.Working knowledge of Google suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gemini) and experience with trade automation or screening systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical regulations into clear training materials.Able to collaborate with other departments within Brady organization.Skills Self-Direction: Ability to drive projects to completion and ensure processes do not stall.Analytical Thinking: Ability to understand complex issues quickly and make sound decisions.Integrity: Honest, high-integrity, and willing to provide transparent reporting on compliance status.Organization: Highly organized with a bias to measure and manage processes using metrics.
