Job Purpose:Support the Trade Function in commercial performance and strategic development of assigned trade lanes and services, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and market conditions.The role supports trade planning, commercial decision-making, high yield cargo development, network recommendations, business cases, and the management of agents, terminals, and service provider agreements, while also contributing to cross functional coordination and continuous improvement of trade performance.Key Accountabilities:Trade Performance and Planning Monitor revenue, volume, yield, contribution, cargo mix, and performance against budget and forecast. Identify gaps, recommend actions, and support annual trade plans and budgets.Market Insights and Decision Support Monitor market trends, cargo flows, customer demand, competitor activity, and commercial developments. Provide relevant insights to support decision-making across Sales, Pricing, Operations, Chartering, and other functions.Network and Service Development Review trade lanes, port rotations, service frequency, transit times, and market coverage. Recommend new services, route extensions, inducement calls, port changes, and service improvements.High Yield Cargo & Commercial Opportunities Assess major cargo opportunities, tenders, and project shipments. Highlight high-yield cargo to the relevant teams to support vessel utilization and voyage contribution.Contracts and Service Provider Management Support Support in evaluating, negotiating, renewing, and managing agreements with agents, terminals, and service providers. Prepare commercial comparisons, review proposed terms, monitor service performance, and follow up on contractual commitments.Business Cases and Strategic Studies Prepare business cases and feasibility studies for new services, market entry, fleet deployment, chartering opportunities, and network changes. Present commercial scenarios, risks, and recommendations.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Economics, related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.Familiarity with commercial shipping operation.
