My client is a fast-growing multi-strategy hedge fund looking to hire a Trading Application Support Engineer to join its expanding technology team in Dubai.This is a 3–8 years’ experience hire and a strong opportunity for someone currently in trading application support, production engineering or front-office technology who wants to move into a broader, more technical buy-side environment.The roleSupport business-critical trading applications across global marketsWork directly with Portfolio Managers and TradersOwn production issues from investigation through resolutionMonitor and improve proprietary and third-party trading platformsBuild and enhance internal applications and toolingWork across both production support and hands-on engineeringCollaborate with experienced engineers across the global technology teamWhat we’re looking for3–5 years’ experience in application support, production engineering or trading technologyStrong Python and SQLExperience within financial markets / electronic tradingStrong troubleshooting and production ownershipComfortable working in a fast-moving, relatively lean environmentFlexible around later hours to support global trading coverageCurious, hands-on and keen to develop technicallyExperience with FlexTrade, Tradeweb, BidFX or Trading Technologies would be useful, but is not essential.Why consider it?This is not a traditional L1/L2 support position.
