And each of us has an important role to play to help make a real difference for families by providing real value, real solutions and real care.The Trading Intelligence Analyst is a key contributor of competitor pricing intelligence, delivering data-driven insights that inform our pricing and promotional strategies. This role supports maintaining a competitive market position by tracking competitor activity, identifying pricing trends, and actively managing product matching data. As we evolve our capabilities, this role will champion the use of AI and automation to streamline processes, while also executing essential day-to-day data management to ensure accuracy and competitive advantage for our customers.What You'll DoCompetitor Intelligence & Strategy: Monitor competitor pricing activity to provide actionable insights that guide our pricing decisions and ensure we remain competitive.Data Management & Product Matching: Take ownership of maintaining our pricing database, including manual and automated product matching across product categories to ensure data accuracy.Process Innovation & Automation: Lead the adoption of AI, technology, and automated matching tools to drive efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve the scalability of our pricing processes.Promotional Performance Analysis: Analyze past promotional performance to provide recommendations that improve the effectiveness, profitability, and strategic planning of future campaigns.Insight-Driven Decision Support: Perform deep-dive analysis on pricing and market data to help the buying and merchandising teams make informed, evidence-based decisions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams—including Store Operations and Replenishment—to optimize the execution of promotional plans and ensure reliable stock flow and pricing alignment.Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems and workflows, maintaining a "roll up your sleeves" mindset while balancing long-term strategic enhancements.What You'll Bring2–5 years of experience in retail analytics, commercial pricing, or a similar data-centric role.Demonstrated track record of managing large, complex datasets and translating them into clear, actionable recommendations that influence commercial outcomes.Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements, with a specific interest in leveraging AI or automation tools to streamline workflows.Strong hands-on experience with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau) Customer-Centric: high level of curiosity regarding customer needs and behaviors, ensuring that pricing strategies always put the customer first.Collaborating openly with stakeholders to ensure pricing outcomes are accurate and effectively executed.Handle manual, time-consuming tasks with accuracy, while simultaneously thinking ahead to build more efficient, automated solutions.Innovative Mindset: challenge the status quo, and are proactive in identifying issues and proposing smarter, technology-led solutionsWhat you’ll experienceBe a part of Australia’s largest retailerConstant mentoring and training providedGenerous sick and vacation leaveA flexible approach to workPremium health insurance coverageEveryone belongs at Woolworths GroupDiversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are key to realising our purpose of better together for a better tomorrow.
