This global success is made possible by the commitment and talent of more than 46,000 employees worldwide.As Trading Manager for EMEA, you will play a key role to manage Cemex’s cement & clinker Trading business across the Europe & Mediterranean region, including the commercialization of Cemex product into the international market, sourcing of product for Cemex operations, and third-party trading.Be part of this amazing team!Main Responsibilities / FunctionsCoordinate with Cemex local business units across Europe & the Mediterranean basin to understand their export availability and capabilities and ensure this is sold to the international market with the most attractive terms & conditions.Follow up with Cemex business units across Europe & the Mediterranean basin to understand their import requirements and ensure that product is sourced from the international market at the most competitive terms & conditions. Build and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers and customers across the region. Negotiate sales and/or purchase contracts on behalf of Cemex Operations. Identify opportunities to generate a positive margin from pure third-party trading businesses; negotiate contracts with third-party suppliers and clients.Oversee the day-to-day operation of contracts to ensure smooth performance, resolving any claims or disputes with customers/suppliers. Ensure a timely collection of Accounts Receivable and engage with Legal team as required to resolve collection issues. Ensuring new suppliers and clients have passed Cemex’s Compliance and KYC procedures.Provide intelligence on market dynamics and trends in the region, to support the identification of new business opportunities or commercial risks to the Company.Academic BackgroundBachelor’s degree in international business or international Trade is preferred.LanguagesProficient English. Spanish or French as a second language (desirable).Professional Experience6+ years of experience performing an international trading role, preferably in the cement industry or in commodities trading. Experience working for Spain’s ICEX or an equivalent national foreign trade organization will be valued. Key Knowledge and SkillsExperience working in an international and multi-cultural environment, demonstrating awareness of different business norms and customs.Knowledge of maritime shipping, trade finance, contract preparation and antitrust laws.Must be willing to travel regularly.Strong negotiation and commercial skills: must be highly adept at both procurement activities and sales negotiations.Cemex Diversity and Inclusion CommitmentCemex is committed to providing an ethical, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
