Trading Operations Manager - Gold

Our client, a Dubai-based gold trading business backed by an established UAE group, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own the operations function end to end. This is a standalone, high-ownership role, you will be the operations lead for the business, working directly with senior leadership and reporting to the CFO.The business combines physical gold trading with a digital platform, so the role spans traditional trade operations and platform-driven growth.What You'll DoOversee daily trade operations: trade execution, settlement, logistics, and documentationManage relationships with refineries, logistics providers, customs authorities, and counterpartiesEnsure regulatory compliance and risk management across the trade lifecycle, maintaining audit-ready recordsDevelop and implement operational processes and procedures to support platform functionality and growthMonitor platform performance and work with technology, marketing, and sales teams to improve user experience, engagement, and revenueAnalyze market trends and provide data-driven input to strategic decisionsManage budgets, resources, and timelines across operationsBuild and lead the operations team as the business scalesWhat We're Looking For5–7+ years in operations within gold, bullion, or commodity tradingStrong understanding of the trade lifecycle, logistics, and international compliance standardsExperience working with customs authorities, logistics vendors, and refineries preferredKnowledge of LBMA standards and precious metals benchmarks is a strong advantageComfort operating in a lean, fast-paced environment with full ownership — this is a hands-on role, not a layered corporate structureExposure to digital platforms, fintech, or e-commerce operations is a plusProficiency in ERP systems and MS Office; strong analytical skillsBachelor's in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)English fluency; Arabic or Hindi a plus
