This role is responsible for safely operating trailer head trucks to transport freight between terminals, ports, warehouses, and customer locations in alignment with company schedules and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and securing cargo, completing delivery and pickup documentation, and adhering to all traffic and company regulations. The Trailer Head Driver interacts with dispatch, port staff, and customers to ensure clear communication regarding routes, delivery times, and any operational issues. The role also involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness, reporting maintenance needs promptly, and supporting efficient freight handling to meet service commitments.Qualifications Strong truck driving capabilities, including safe operation of trailer head trucks and adherence to road safety practices.Valid CDL Class A license (or equivalent) and clean driving record, with experience operating commercial vehicles.Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, port personnel, and customers.Customer service skills to ensure professional, respectful interactions and responsive support at delivery and pickup locations.Knowledge of basic vehicle checks, routine inspections, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.Ability to work on-site in Nassau, including flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as required by shipping schedules.Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in handling documentation and cargo responsibilities.Prior experience in freight, logistics, or maritime transport environments is an asset.
