Our team advises clients across various areas of corporate and commercial law, including complex business matters, transactions and projects in a wide range of industries.We are looking for a Trainee Lawyer who is eager to start their legal career by working directly with experienced lawyers and actively contributing to ongoing matters and projects.From the very beginning of your traineeship, you will be involved in the day-to-day legal work of the firm, with professional guidance and support from your colleagues, gradually developing independence, legal reasoning and an understanding of the business context in which legal issues arise and are addressed.What You Will DoDepending on the matter or project, you will be involved in:Conducting legal research and analysing legislation, case law and other relevant legal sources;Preparing draft agreements, legal opinions, submissions and other legal documents;Monitoring legislative developments and assessing their impact on clients’ businesses;Working on court proceedings and other proceedings before competent authorities, including case analysis, preparation of documentation and attendance at hearings;Working on corporate and commercial law matters, including company formations, corporate reorganisations and other corporate changes;Preparing documentation and handling procedures before registries, public notaries and other competent authorities and institutions.We do not expect you to know how to do all of this from day one. We expect you to be willing to learn, to ask the right questions and to seek to understand each assignment rather than simply complete it as a formal task.Who We Are Looking ForWe expect candidates to have:A law degree and a strong academic record;An excellent command of English, both written and spoken;Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly and in a structured manner;A high level of accuracy, responsibility and reliability in meeting deadlines;Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks;Good command of MS Office;A willingness to learn, respond constructively to feedback and continuously improve the quality of their work.The position is intended for candidates with no prior professional experience or with up to one year of experience in a law firm.Knowledge of an additional foreign language will be considered an advantage.ApplicationInterested candidates are invited to submit to office@tasiclaw.com:A CV andA short cover letter.In addition to explaining your motivation for applying, please briefly indicate in your cover letter which area of law currently interests you most and why.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted regarding the next steps in the selection process.
