Trainee Recruitment Consultant - USA Travel

We're working with a start-up recruitment business specialising in the US Data Centre market — one of the best recruitment markets in the world right now.Their consultants are working on roles where fees regularly exceed $30k, giving you the opportunity to earn significantly more than you would in most graduate sales roles.The business is still at an early stage, so you'll have the chance to play a big role in its growth rather than joining a huge recruitment company where you're just another number.The founders have previously worked for and helped scale a PE-backed recruitment business, so they know what it takes to build and grow a recruitment firm properly.Because you're working in the US market, there will also be opportunities to travel to the US to meet clients and candidates as the business grows.What will you actually be doing?You'll be responsible for building your own network within the US Data Centre industry and ultimately running your own recruitment desk.Day-to-day, you'll be:Speaking to candidates across the US Data Centre market and building relationships with people in the industryBusiness development — identifying companies hiring and speaking directly with hiring managersWinning new clients and developing long-term relationships with themTaking detailed job briefs and understanding exactly what each client is looking forSourcing and headhunting candidates using LinkedIn, databases, referrals and your own networkInterviewing candidates and managing them through the recruitment processNegotiating offers and closing dealsManaging your own pipeline and working towards individual revenue targetsLearning the US market and becoming a specialist in a sector where experienced recruiters can command $30k+ feesYou'll receive training on recruitment, sales, the US market and how to build a desk, but you'll be expected to become increasingly independent as you develop.What are they looking for?They're looking for bright, competitive graduates who want to work in sales.You don't need recruitment experience. They're interested in people who have competed at a high level, sold something, led teams, built something or generally have a track record of wanting to win.You need to be confident, resilient and comfortable picking up the phone.
