The firm’s innovative fee structures are designed to make high-quality legal services accessible while maintaining strong professional standards and dedication.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Trainee Solicitor with PRC background based in Hong Kong SAR. The Trainee Solicitor will assist lawyers with legal research, drafting, and reviewing documents related to corporate, commercial, family, and dispute resolution matters, including PRC-related work and cross-border issues. Daily tasks include preparing case bundles, attending client meetings and court hearings as appropriate, and supporting the management of files and deadlines. The role involves liaising with clients and external parties, translating and summarizing documents where necessary, and helping to coordinate matters across Hong Kong and PRC jurisdictions. The Trainee Solicitor will be expected to learn and apply firm procedures, maintain accurate records, and contribute to delivering high-quality, client-focused services.Qualifications Strong legal research, drafting, and document review skills, with attention to detail and clear written communication.Knowledge of Hong Kong law and PRC legal systems, with interest in cross-border corporate, commercial, and dispute resolution matters.Qualified in PRC as a lawyerExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to interpret complex legal issues and propose practical solutions.Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), with strong legal translation and communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.Strong professional ethics, discretion, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and high standards of conduct.Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); completion or near-completion of required professional legal qualifications for training in Hong Kong is preferred.Prior internship or paralegal experience in law firms or legal departments, particularly involving Hong Kong–PRC matters, is an advantage.
