Apply & track with Apply EdgeJOB TITLE: Training and Development SpecialistFLSA: Exempt positionLOCATION: Fremont, CA (Onsite)SALARY: $71,000 to $93,000Job Summary:The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for coordinating, administering, auditing, and continuously improving employee training programs to ensure workforce competency, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and organizational effectiveness. This role manages the Learning Management System (LMS), supports employee development initiatives, conducts training audits, and ensures employees receive the appropriate training based on job changes, promotions, business needs,and regulatory requirements.This role plays a critical part in ensuring workforce competency, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and continuous employee development while supporting the organization's operational excellence and business objectives.Duties/Responsibilities:• Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including testing, tracking, reporting, record accuracy, and user support.• Conduct internal spot audits of employee training records, process competency records, and training traceability to ensure audit readiness.• Monitor training expiration dates and maintain retraining schedules.• Ensure new hires, temporary workers, converted employees, transferred employees, and promoted employees receive required training and qualifications.• Perform Training Needs Analysis (TNA) with managers, departments, and staffing agencies to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.• Facilitate and coordinate compliance, technical, operational, onboarding, and leadership development training programs.• Track document control changes (DCC) and verify training content remains accurate, current, and aligned with approved procedures.• Monitor regulatory, legal, and compliance requirement updates and ensure training programs remain compliant.• Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Operations, HR, and Administration teams to support training and compliance initiatives.• Support ISO, RBA, customer, and regulatory audits by maintaining training documentation and conducting internal training audits.• Identify and address gaps in training traceability, documentation, record retention, and auditability.• Manage relationships with external training providers and negotiate training services, course offerings, and pricing.• Create, maintain, and publish annual and monthly training calendars.• Coordinate training logistics, including facilities, equipment, learning resources, purchases, catering, and training materials.• Support Employment Training Panel (ETP) rebate activities and documentation requirements.• Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives through employee training and awareness programs.• Send training notifications, reminders, and compliance communications to employees and managers.• Develop and implement innovative learning environments, including learning centers, tablets, e-learning tools, and other technology-enabled training resources to support workforce development and continuous learning.Competencies:• Knowledge of ISO standards, RBA requirements, EHS programs, and training compliance practices preferred.• Strong organizational, auditing, documentation, and project management skills.• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Education and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent required; L&D related professional certifications such as APTD and CPTD preferred.• 2+ years of experience in learning and development, human resources, administration, quality systems, or compliance-related functions in an ISO regulated environment preferred.• Experience with using AI, eLMS, video editing and Instructional Design tools such as CapCut, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate Storyline 360 preferred.• Experience facilitating instructor-led in-person and virtual trainings.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.• Ability to walk throughout production and warehouse areas to observe processes, conduct audits, and support training activities.• Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.• Ability to lift and carry training materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.• Ability to travel between company locations, training venues, conferences, or external training providers as needed.Our company does not guarantee immigration sponsorship.
