Waterfront Training Solutions focuses on high-quality, mission-ready training that supports the operational needs of the U.S. Navy and related stakeholders.Role Description The Training and Manpower Subject Matter Expert is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chesapeake, VA, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for conducting detailed training and manpower analysis in support of U.S. Navy programs, including reviewing requirements, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements. Day-to-day tasks include developing training plans and materials, aligning manpower requirements with operational needs, and collaborating with project managers, instructional designers, and client representatives. The Subject Matter Expert will participate in meetings, prepare reports and briefings, and ensure all training solutions meet established standards, timelines, and budget constraints. The role also involves staying current with Navy training policies, methodologies, and tools to help Waterfront Training Solutions deliver modern, effective training solutions.Qualifications Expertise in training analysis, curriculum development, and training evaluation, preferably in a U.S. Navy or defense environment.Experience with manpower analysis, requirements determination, and workforce planning to align staffing levels with mission needs.Strong skills in technical writing, documentation, and report preparation for training plans, analysis findings, and briefings.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients, both in-person and remotely.Familiarity with Navy training systems, policies, and standards (e.g., NAVEDTRA, JPAs, TCCD, and related guidance) is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, management, or a related field; equivalent military or professional experience will be considered.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and proficiency in using standard office and collaboration software tools.
