Job DescriptionWorking alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Training Manager to join our team to achieve the company's objectives and support our People & Culture operations.Work for a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property in the heart of Michigan Avenue, ChicagoLearn and grow within a diverse multi-outlet propertyExceptional health benefits package and 401(k) with company matchKey AccountabilitiesManagement of in-house training and development functionAct as an in-house consultant to identify training needs with department heads for all levels based on current industry trends, business objectives, operating philosophy of the hotel, and workforce requirementsDevelop annual Training Plan and schedule training activities according to business needs and operational prioritiesFormulate and administer training and development policies and procedures, including orientation of new hires, mandatory training for specific roles, training required for promotion and career development, external training, and training library resourcesCoordinate, facilitate, and track mandatory HSH corporate and legal compliance training programs, including harassment prevention, bystander intervention, and human trafficking awareness training, ensuring timely completion and accurate recordkeepingDevelop and facilitate departmental trainers to deliver training programs within their respective areasDesign and facilitate training programs through instructor-led, online, and blended learning solutionsOversee annual performance appraisal processes for line and management employeesMaintain and enhance the Learning Management System and training recordsAdminister learning and development programs launched by the Corporate OfficeThis Job Description is not an all-inclusive list of job tasks but a guide, and tasks may be added or removed by the immediate supervisor according to changes within the work environmentGeneral RequirementsMinimum 3-5 years of Learning & Development experience, preferably within a luxury hospitality environmentExperience in training facilitation, leadership development, and employee development programsExperience partnering with department leaders to identify training and performance improvement needsExperience administering and tracking compliance training programsExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointFamiliarity with Learning Management Systems and digital learning platformsStrong presentation, facilitation, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organizationBenefits We Offer10 vacation days per year9 paid holiday days per year5 Chicago Paid Sick Leave days per year5 Chicago Paid Leave days per yearComplimentary employee mealsDiscounted parkingDiscounted and complimentary room nights at The Peninsula Hotels50% restaurant discount50% discount on spa services25% discount on spa retail80% company-paid medical, dental and vision coverageComplimentary life insuranceComplimentary long-term disabilityRetirement plan with 5% company matchWe are delighted to receive your resume for further consideration.
