The ideal candidate will bring strong luxury hospitality and pre-opening training experience, with the ability to translate CLP brand standards, wellness philosophy, and service culture into practical learning programs. This role will ensure colleagues are fully prepared to deliver an exceptional ultra-luxury wellness and guest experience from opening day.Pre-Opening Responsibilities1. Training Strategy & Roadmap:• Develop a comprehensive pre-opening Learning & Development strategy and critical path aligned with resort opening milestones.• Build the master training calendar covering induction, brand, service, technical, compliance, and departmental training.• Partner with the General Manager, Director of Human Resources, Heads of Departments, and Corporate teams to define training priorities, ownership, timelines, and readiness standards.2. Learning Infrastructure & Content:• Establish training facilities, learning resources, training records, and LMS/tracking tools before large-scale colleague onboarding.• Develop and adapt induction, service culture, departmental, and operational training materials in line with CLP standards.• Coordinate external training providers and subject matter experts where required, ensuring content and resources are ready ahead of opening.3. Team Readiness:• Lead the onboarding and induction journey for all pre-opening colleagues and managers.• Establish and develop Departmental Trainers and Training Champions, providing Train-the-Trainer coaching and ongoing support.• Coordinate simulations, dry runs, role plays, service rehearsals, and guest journey exercises to validate operational readiness.4. Compliance & Readiness Reporting:• Ensure all mandatory, statutory, health, safety, and role-specific training is completed before colleagues assume operational duties.• Track departmental training completion and readiness, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions before opening.• Maintain accurate training records and provide regular readiness reports to HR, Executive Management, Corporate teams, and relevant stakeholders as required.ResponsibilitiesLearning & Development Strategy• Develop and implement the resort’s Learning & Development strategy in line with business priorities, CLP culture, and ultra-luxury service standards.• Conduct training needs analysis and translate identified needs into structured annual and departmental learning plans.• Establish clear learning pathways that support colleague capability, performance, career development, and succession planning.Training Operations & Readiness• Manage the annual and monthly training calendar and coordinate learning activities across all resort departments.• Partner with Heads of Departments to develop practical departmental training plans, skills checklists, and refresher programs.• Monitor training quality and effectiveness through assessments, observations, feedback, and operational performance indicators.Luxury Guest Experience & Service Excellence• Lead service excellence training focused on personalization, anticipation of guest needs, discretion, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail.• Translate brand standards and guest experience expectations into practical colleague behaviors and service routines.• Support quality assurance initiatives by developing targeted coaching and refresher training based on audits, feedback, and operational observations.Wellness & Longevity Integration• Embed CLP’s wellness and longevity philosophy within colleague learning and the overall service culture.• Coordinate with medical, wellness, spa, nutrition, movement, and hospitality teams to support a seamless and consistent guest journey.• Ensure non-clinical colleagues understand the purpose of the wellness journey and how their roles contribute to the overall guest experience.• Reinforce confidentiality, privacy, professional boundaries, and discretion expected in an ultra-luxury wellness environment.• Work with subject matter experts to coordinate specialized learning where technical or clinical expertise is required.Learning Budget & Resource Management• Prepare and manage the Learning & Development budget, ensuring effective use of training resources without compromising quality.• Manage training vendors, external facilitators, learning materials, and related agreements in coordination with HR and Finance.• Evaluate the effectiveness and value of key learning initiatives and recommend improvements based on business needs.Brand, Culture & Colleague Engagement• Reinforce CLP values, culture, expected behaviors, and service philosophy through induction, workshops, communications, and learning activities.• Support colleague engagement, recognition, wellbeing, and culture-building initiatives in partnership with the Human Resources team.• Promote an inclusive, respectful, multicultural, and high-performance learning environment across the resort.Saudi Talent Development• Support Saudization objectives through structured development, retention, career progression, and capability-building initiatives for Saudi colleagues.• Identify Saudi high-potential colleagues and support individual development plans, internal mobility, and succession pathways.• Coordinate relevant development partnerships and programs that strengthen the pipeline of Saudi hospitality and wellness talent.Leadership Development• Design and facilitate development programs for supervisors, managers, and Heads of Departments.• Coach leaders on feedback, performance management, colleague engagement, effective delegation, and people development.• Support talent reviews and succession planning by identifying development priorities and appropriate learning interventions.Training Governance, Compliance & Reporting• Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company standards, local requirements, and mandatory training obligations.• Track key learning KPIs including induction completion, mandatory training, departmental readiness, participation, and assessment results.• Prepare regular Learning & Development dashboards and reports, highlighting progress, risks, gaps, and corrective actions.Qualifications• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Training, Human Resources, or hospitality development.• Minimum 2-3 years in a Training Manager, Learning & Development Manager, or equivalent leadership role.• Strong experience in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality is required; wellness, spa, or health resort exposure is highly advantageous.• Previous hotel or resort pre-opening experience is strongly preferred.• Proven experience designing and facilitating induction, service excellence, leadership, and operational training programs.• Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, training needs analysis, instructional design, and training evaluation methods.• Strong project management, organization, reporting, and analytical capability in a fast-paced pre-opening environment.• Excellent command of English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage.Education• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Learning & Development, Business Administration, or a related field.• Professional Learning & Development, Train-the-Trainer, CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
