The company offers an environment where training professionals can contribute to mission-focused work and advance their careers.Role Description The Training Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is responsible for analyzing training requirements, designing and developing instructional materials, and delivering training sessions focused on U.S. Navy programs and related initiatives. Daily activities include collaborating with subject matter experts, updating curricula to reflect current standards, preparing training documentation, and facilitating classroom and hands-on instruction. The Training Specialist monitors learner performance, gathers feedback, and recommends improvements to training content and delivery methods. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure training solutions are aligned with project objectives and compliance requirements.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to present complex information effectively.Candidates should possess Training & Development and Training skills, including experience planning, delivering, and evaluating structured training programs.Candidates should possess Instructional Design skills, including the ability to create curricula, lesson plans, and training materials using adult learning principles.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including responsiveness to client needs and a collaborative approach to supporting trainees and stakeholders.Relevant experience working with military or defense training programs, especially U.S. Navy environments, is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proficiency with common training technologies and software (e.g., presentation tools, learning management systems, simulation or e-learning platforms).Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple training projects and deadlines.
