The Training Superintendent is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs to enhance the effectiveness of both seagoing and shore-based personnel. With at least five years of relevant maritime or educational experience, the incumbent ensures training aligns with Group’s quality standards and strategic goals.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Training Program Management• Execute and deliver targeted training programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.• Prepare and review courses in adherence to company procedures and quality standards.• Evaluate and assess seafarers to ensure knowledge retention and practical application.• Continuously enhance training programs, facilities, and quality systems.• Conduct training sessions at various centers and collaborate with third-party training institutionsas needed.Stakeholder Collaboration• Maintain close collaboration with The Principal and liaise with operations, technical crewing, andother departments to address training requirements.• Participate in Crew Seminars to strengthen connections between shipboard and shore-basedteams.• Coordinate with support staff and consultants to achieve training objectives.Operational Readiness• Ensure operational readiness of training equipment, simulators, and facilities.• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with procedural and qualityrequirements.Fleet Support and Quality Assurance• Enhance operational and safety performance across the Fleet through effective training.• Ensure all training activities meet internal and external quality assurance standards.• Participate in shipboard visits or sailing assignments to maintain hands-on expertiseCost Management and Budgeting• Ensure cost-consciousness in training activities, obtaining prior approvals for expenditures in linewith group strategies.• Contribute to the development and submission of the annual training budget.Planning and Compliance• Develop and update the Annual Training Plan, aligning with ISO 9001 standards and managementreview requirements.• Prepare for internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standardsRequirements:At least five years of experience in a senior sailing position or two years in a maritime educational role.Chief Engineer background is a must, preference will be given to someone with dual fuel LNG engine experienceMust have prior classroom training experience ideally• IMO Model Course certifications:• 6.09 (VICT/TOTA) – Mandatory• 6.10 (TSTA) – Preferred• 3.10 (AECS) – PreferredPlease note that this role is based in Mumbai and only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
