Team members are encouraged to contribute to a collaborative campus culture that supports student growth and holistic development.Role Description The Transfer Evaluation Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Wheaton, IL. This position is responsible for reviewing and evaluating transfer coursework and external credit (such as AP, IB, dual enrollment, and military credits) to determine equivalencies and applicability to Wheaton College degree requirements. The analyst collaborates with academic departments, the registrar, and admissions staff to maintain accurate transfer and articulation rules, ensure timely evaluations, and support prospective and current students in understanding how their prior coursework applies to their academic plans. Daily tasks include analyzing transcripts, updating student records in institutional systems, preparing reports, responding to inquiries from students and colleagues, and contributing to continuous process improvement for transfer evaluation workflows. The role also assists in creating and maintaining clear documentation, guidelines, and communication materials related to transfer policies and practices.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, including the ability to interpret academic transcripts, apply institutional policies consistently, and ensure accuracy in student records.Candidates should possess proficiency with student information systems, databases, and office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, and data entry) to manage evaluations and reporting.Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex transfer and degree requirements clearly to students, faculty, and staff.Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple evaluations and projects simultaneously.Candidates should possess collaborative and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work constructively with academic departments, administrative offices, and external partners.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as education, administration, or a liberal arts discipline) is preferred, along with prior experience in higher education, registrar’s office, transfer evaluation, or academic advising.Familiarity with curriculum structures, accreditation standards, and transfer/articulation practices is beneficial, as is experience in a mission-driven or faith-based institutional context.
