This position involves translating game content, user interfaces, marketing materials, and support documentation from English into Chinese and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance. The role includes reviewing and localizing in-game text, promotional campaigns, and customer communication to align with brand tone and regional expectations. The translator will collaborate with product, marketing, and customer support teams to maintain consistent language standards, assist in QA checks for localized releases, and provide linguistic feedback on new game features and updates.QualificationsStrong proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English, with demonstrated translation and localization experience.Ability to adapt language for gaming, digital platforms, and marketing contexts while maintaining brand voice.Attention to detail, excellent grammar, and strong editing and proofreading capabilities.Familiarity with mobile and online gaming, digital entertainment, or consumer apps is highly desirable.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with translation tools or CAT software and basic computer literacy.Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Language, Communications, or a related field preferred.Ability to work on-site in Dar es-Salaam and manage multiple tasks and deadlines responsibly.
