Transportation Manager

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for planning and managing shipments, scheduling route optimization, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of services to customers. He monitors transportation costs, maintain records, external sourcing, ensure compliance with TGA, Ports & Shipping regulations of Saudi Arabia. Manage the operation team and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible for managing logistics and ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and within budget. JOB REQUIREMENTS:2.1Required Educational LevelBachelor's in Supply Chain, Logistics, or any relevant field.2.2 Required ExperienceProven work experience of a minimum of 7 years as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar roleSolid knowledge of supply chain management2.3 Required Competencies & SkillsAbility in transport management and customer/supplier relationship managementLeadership with ability to manage and motivate a teamProven ability to coach and develop othersHigh degree of integrity and honesty in all dealingsExcellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsExperience preparing and tracking ordersFamiliarity with logistics softwareExcellent organizational skillsAbility to supervise and train staffProblem-solving abilitiesAbility to work under pressure PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan and manage the shipments from Order receiving to the end-user.Obtain advance information from clients for prior planning.Schedule daily and weekly routes, and optimizing the trips with maximum efficiency and profitable.Track orders using functional systemsMonitor and report on transportation costsOutsourcing in essential situation. Identify and arrange contract with efficient suppliers.Ensure the team are doing right transport/shipping documents and system entrees.Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment.Research and suggest cost-effective transport/shipping methodsConduct regular safety audits on equipmentConduct periodic inspection and auditing in MaintenanceOrganize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines, handling of hazardous material, special projects, etc.)Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed ordersEnsure compliance with company policies, TGA, Transport, Ports and shipping legislation.Stay up-to-date with safety regulations.
