Our services include accommodation, Nile cruises, excursions, transportation, tailor-made itineraries, group travel, and complete travel packages.We are looking for experienced travel professionals who understand how to build, calculate, sell, and operate complete travel programs while maintaining strong relationships with clients and tourism suppliers.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Travel Agent / Travel Consultant role based in Cairo, Egypt.The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing complete travel itineraries for both B2C individual clients and B2B travel partners.A key part of the role is the ability to understand a travel request and transform it into a complete, well-structured, and commercially viable itinerary. This includes selecting appropriate hotels, Nile cruises, transportation, excursions, guides, and other tourism services.The candidate must be comfortable preparing detailed travel calculations and quotations, comparing supplier rates, calculating package costs, applying mark-ups, and ensuring that offers remain both competitive and profitable.Daily responsibilities include communicating with hotels, Nile cruise companies, transportation providers, guides, tour operators, and other tourism suppliers to obtain availability, negotiate rates, confirm services, and resolve operational issues.The role also requires strong sales skills, including understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, following up on inquiries, converting quotations into confirmed bookings, and developing long-term relationships with both direct clients and travel trade partners.The Travel Agent will also manage reservations, amendments, cancellations, payment follow-up, travel documentation, and operational coordination before and during the client's trip.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare complete and customized travel itineraries for individual travelers, families, groups, and travel agencies.Design multi-day Egypt programs combining hotels, Nile cruises, sightseeing, transportation, domestic flights, guides, and additional services.Prepare accurate costing sheets, quotations, and selling prices.Calculate package costs based on supplier rates, number of passengers, room configuration, transportation costs, guide services, entrance fees, and other operational components.Apply appropriate mark-ups and commercial margins while maintaining competitive market pricing.Handle both B2C and B2B travel inquiries, understanding the different service, pricing, communication, and contracting requirements of each segment.Follow up on quotations and actively work toward converting inquiries into confirmed bookings.Maintain strong professional relationships with hotels, Nile cruise operators, transportation companies, guides, restaurants, excursion providers, and other tourism suppliers.Request and negotiate rates, special offers, allotments, availability, and booking conditions with suppliers.Coordinate hotel and Nile cruise reservations and ensure that all booked services match the confirmed itinerary.Manage booking modifications, cancellations, special requests, and last-minute operational changes.Communicate professionally with clients and travel agency partners before, during, and after the booking process.Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities such as upgraded hotels, Nile cruises, private tours, transfers, excursions, and additional travel services.Maintain accurate booking records, supplier confirmations, payment information, and travel documentation.Work closely with operations, reservations, accounting, and management teams to ensure smooth execution of each booking.Stay informed about Egyptian destinations, hotels, Nile cruises, excursions, transportation options, tourism regulations, and market developments.QualificationsPrevious experience working in a travel agency, tour operator, DMC, hotel reservations department, or similar tourism environment is strongly preferred.Proven experience in preparing and arranging complete travel itineraries.Strong knowledge of Egypt tourism products and destinations.Good knowledge of hotels, resorts, Nile cruises, excursions, transportation services, and tourism suppliers in Egypt.Existing professional contacts with hotels, Nile cruise companies, transportation providers, and other tourism suppliers are considered a strong advantage.Strong numerical skills and the ability to prepare detailed travel calculations, costing sheets, quotations, and package prices accurately.Good understanding of tour costing, supplier rates, mark-ups, commissions, profit margins, and selling prices.Experience working with both B2C customers and B2B travel agencies / tour operators.Strong sales capabilities with the ability to identify customer needs, present suitable solutions, follow up professionally, and convert inquiries into bookings.Strong negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and business partners.Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Additional languages are an advantage.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several bookings simultaneously.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle urgent or last-minute travel requirements.Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and travel or reservation systems.Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered equivalent.Preferred Candidate ProfileWe are particularly interested in candidates who have worked directly with tailor-made travel programs and understand the full process from receiving an inquiry to preparing the itinerary, calculating the price, negotiating with suppliers, closing the sale, confirming the booking, and coordinating the operation.The ideal candidate should be commercially minded, detail-oriented, confident when dealing with clients and suppliers, and capable of balancing excellent customer service with profitability.
