Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition SummaryThe Travel Clinical Research Coordinator plays a key role in supporting new research sites through study opening activities and early enrollment efforts for our sites in California. This role provides operational support during high enrollment periods or site staffing gaps to ensure sites are prepared, compliant, and aligned with study expectations. The Travel Clinical Research Coordinator collaborates with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and site staff while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, study protocols, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesTravel to assigned research sites to manage day to day study operations including patient recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow up visitsEducate and support site personnel on study procedures, expectations, and compliance requirementsCoordinate site opening activities to ensure new sites are prepared for study launchSupport early enrollment efforts by guiding sites through startup tasks and recruitment expectationsIndependently manage travel logistics including scheduling, travel documentation, and proactive communication with site stakeholdersMaintain audit and inspection readiness and support sites during monitoring visits and regulatory reviewsClinical Research Coordinator ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage clinical research protocols from startup through close outRecruit, screen, consent, and enroll participants according to study protocols and ethical standardsSchedule and conduct study visits and procedures per protocol and ICH GCP requirementsCollect, maintain, and document accurate study data including source documentationPrepare and submit IRB materials including amendments, continuing reviews, and adverse event reportsEnsure timely and accurate electronic data capture (EDC) entryServe as primary point of contact for sponsors, CROs, monitors, and regulatory bodies during site transitionsMaintain regulatory binders in compliance with FDA and GCP standardsMonitor study inventory and coordinate supply orderingSupport monitoring visits, audits, and inspectionsEducate study participants on procedures, expectations, and risksAttend study trainings, site initiation visits, and investigator meetingsTrack and document site progress throughout startup, enrollment, and study executionProvide ongoing operational support to promote strong site performance and engagementAssist with onboarding and training new site staff in alignment with ECN policies and proceduresQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, life sciences, nursing, or related field requiredSeven or more years of clinical research coordinator experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeCCRC or equivalent certification preferredExperienceMinimum of three to four years of experience as a Clinical Research CoordinatorSkillsStrong understanding of clinical trial operations from startup through close outExtensive knowledge of GCP, GDP, and ALCOA+ principlesExperience with EDC platforms such as Medidata Rave, Veeva, or Oracle and CTMS systemsAbility to work independently in fast paced, travel intensive environmentsStrong problem solving, organizational, and attention to detail skillsExcellent communication and relationship building skills with sponsors, CROs, monitors, site staff, and participantsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a multi site environmentWorking ConditionsAbility to travel up to 75 percent of the time including overnight stays and occasional weekendsMay involve direct patient interaction, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and investigational product handlingMay require evening or weekend work based on study needsPay$70-75k base salaryPhysical RequirementsMust reside within approximately 60 miles of a major international airportAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyEqual Opportunity EmployerElite Clinical Network is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status.
