Treasury Manager

A well established, large scale UK manufacturer is looking for a Treasury Manager to help run and shape its Treasury function during an exciting period of change. Following a recent shift in ownership, the business has a newly appointed board and a fresh transformation agenda underway, making this a rare chance to join right at the start of a new chapter, with real influence over how the function develops.What you'll be doingYou'll join a small, tight knit Treasury team of four, two experienced analysts and two more recent joiners, reporting into the Head of Treasury.It's a hands on role rather than a purely strategic one: you'll be running the day-to-day cash and payments operation while also taking on line management responsibility and helping develop the team beneath you.Day to day, that means things like:Keeping on top of the group's cash position and short term forecasting, making sure funding is where it needs to beGetting payments (international transfers, SAP invoice runs, manual payments) out the door accurately and on timeHandling trade finance paperwork , letters of credit, guarantees, bonds, export collectionsKeeping bank accounts, intercompany balances and financial instruments properly reconciledActing as the day-to-day point of contact for the company's banking partners, including KYC and account adminContributing to how Treasury policy and risk controls evolvePulling together reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholdersSupporting audit requests as they come inCoaching and supporting junior members of the teamWhat we're looking forACCA, CIMA or ACT qualified, or well into their studies (roughly 70%+ complete) with a clear finish line in sight.Beyond that, we're really looking for:Real transactional experience — someone who has actually run cash and payment processes, not just reviewed themA working grasp of funding structures and hedgingConfidence reconciling bank and treasury positionsTrade finance exposure — candidates from a banking or financial services middle-office backgroundA background in management accounting or cashflow work managementThe people skills to genuinely manage and get the best out of a small teamStrong organisation, attention to detail, and solid Excel skillsA down to earth, collaborative mannerWhat's on OfferUp to £60,000 base salaryCompany pension scheme27 days annual leave + bank holidaysLife assuranceCompany sick pay schemeHealth cash planEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFamily friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leaveThe opportunity to be part of a business entering a genuinely new and stable chapter
