A Brief OverviewThe Trial Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of trial programs, research projects, and ensuring the efficient collection and analysis of evaluation data. This role collaborates with the Sales and Breeding teams across the region and plays a critical role in the development of new vegetable varieties. The role requires close collaboration with the Regional Market Manager, management staff, and research farm manager. This role works closely with Bejo’s dealer network to enhance product development activities and develop proprietary vegetable germplasm to determine optimal market fit. The position demands travel within the region and occasionally to other regions to assist with projects, especially during peak seasons. Essential ActivitiesDevelop and oversee all regional trialing programs in collaboration with the Regional Market Manager.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Regional Sales, Breeding, Farm Operations, and BSI leadership to support successful trial execution and product evaluation activities.Provide technical and agronomic support to Regional Sales teams through variety recommendations, customer consultations, training, and field evaluations.Effectively implement trials from planting through evaluations.Analyze and integrate trial and field performance data to develop product evaluations, agronomic recommendations, and variety positioning insights that support crop performance and regional business objectives.Regularly meet with Regional Sales Team members and Supervisors to coordinate trial plans, review results, and assess progress.Provide yield estimates based on field observations and data analysis.Travel regionally up to 25% of the time, including short notice travel as business needs require. Opportunity for International travel.Additional ResponsibilitiesCoordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve trial processes, data quality, and operational efficiencies. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable agricultural standards. Represent Bejo at industry meetings, field days, conferences, and customer events as needed. Serve as a regional crop specialist, providing technical expertise and field insights to support crop strategy, product development, and commercial planning decisions.QualificationsEducation Required – Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomic Business, Crop Biotechnology or related disciplines Work Experience Required 3-5 yearsExperience in crop research, trial cycles, genetics evaluations, and evaluating traitsBasic experience with agricultural equipmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and other related computer software.Licenses & CertificationsRequired – Valid driver’s license with driving record in good standingBeneficial – Private applicator license and/or other related certifications Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge and understanding of growing vegetable crops, the natural cycle, growth conditions and principles of vegetable crop production.Ability to organize and instruct labor crews.Ability to interpret agronomic and trial data and communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills. In addition to thinking creatively and functioning in a team environment.Bilingual -Spanish is preferred.
