Experiential programs and educational tours further enrich student development by combining academic support with real-world exposure to diverse cultures, industries, and technologies.Role Description The Tutor (NSS Position) will provide structured academic support to students, delivering lessons, tutorials, and study guidance aligned with curriculum and program goals. This full-time, on-site role is based in Accra and involves preparing learning materials, explaining key concepts, reviewing assignments, and supporting students in developing effective study habits. The tutor will participate in mentorship activities, help monitor student progress, and provide feedback to program coordinators and families. Daily tasks include organizing small-group and one-on-one sessions, maintaining accurate records of student performance, and collaborating with colleagues to improve learning outcomes. The role may also support educational tours or workshops, ensuring that academic content is reinforced through practical and experiential learning.Qualifications Strong subject-matter knowledge in relevant school curriculum areas and ability to explain concepts clearly to diverse learners.Demonstrated skills in lesson planning, instructional delivery, and academic coaching for individuals and small groups.Ability to mentor students, provide guidance on study skills, and support academic and career readiness goals.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and the ability to build trust with students and families.Organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple students, sessions, and records responsibly.Proficiency with basic digital tools for educational purposes (e.g., word processing, presentation software, online research).Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Education or a related field; National Service eligibility required.Commitment to equity, inclusion, and learner-centered support; prior tutoring or teaching experience is an advantage.
