UAV ENGINEERING INTERNS

We’re looking for 3 talented engineering interns to join the UAV team at QSS AI & Robotics and work hands on on the design, development, integration, simulation, and testing of next generation UAV platforms.1. UAV Design Engineer InternWhat you’ll work on:Mechanical design and development of UAV platforms and components3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawingsAirframe, structural, payload, and component integrationPrototype manufacturing, assembly, and testingWeight, dimensions, center of gravity, and structural analysisTechnical documentation and design reportsWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s student or recent graduate in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldStrong foundation in mechanical design and engineering principlesFamiliarity with SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD toolsBasic knowledge of UAV structures, aerodynamics, materials, and manufacturingStrong problem solving skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team2. UAV Systems Engineer InternWhat you’ll work on:UAV system architecture, integration, and testingIntegration of flight controllers, sensors, GPS/GNSS, communications, propulsion, batteries, and payloadsGround and flight testingTroubleshooting electrical, communication, and integration issuesSystem requirements, interfaces, and test proceduresFlight and system data collection and analysisWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s student or recent graduate in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, or related fieldBasic knowledge of UAV systems, avionics, sensors, and flight controlsUnderstanding of electrical circuits, communication protocols, and embedded systemsFamiliarity with PX4, ArduPilot, Pixhawk, or similar platforms is a plusKnowledge of Python, C, or C++ is preferredFamiliarity with CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, or MAVLink is an advantageStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills3. UAV Simulation Engineer InternWhat you’ll work on:Development and validation of UAV simulation modelsFlight dynamics, control systems, mission, and performance simulationsSimulation of different UAV operating conditions and missionsSoftware in the Loop (SITL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testingAnalysis and comparison of simulation and real flight test dataTechnical simulation reports and documentationWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s student or recent graduate in Aerospace, Control, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldStrong foundation in mathematics, dynamics, and control systemsExperience with MATLAB/Simulink is highly preferredKnowledge of Python, C++, ROS, Gazebo, PX4 SITL, or similar environments is a plusBasic understanding of UAV flight dynamics, aerodynamics, and flight controlStrong analytical, problem solving, and data analysis skillsThis is an opportunity to work directly with the QSS engineering team on real UAV platforms, from design and simulation to integration, prototyping, and flight testing.If you’re passionate about UAVs, aerospace, autonomous systems, and building real technology in Saudi Arabia, we want to hear from you.📩 Apply on mahmoud.alhayes@qltyss.com and join the QSS AI & Robotics team.
