Hello,Greetings from ZettaMine!!!Freelancing Opporunity : We are hiring Bioinformatics / Computational Genomics Experts for a short-term AI Evaluation, Agentic Genomics & Computational Biology project in : BrazilRole: Bioinformatics / Computational Genomics ExpertMode: RemoteEngagement: Contractor AssignmentStart: ImmediateMandatory Eligibility CriteriaTechnical Qualification:Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.Experience analyzing biological sequence or genomics datasets.Comfortable working in Linux / command-line computational environments.Ability to design and solve realistic, multi-step computational biology and genomics problems.Strong understanding of scientific reasoning, data analysis, reproducibility, and computational validation.Educational Qualification:Mandatory: Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent research experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computational Genetics, or a closely related discipline.Preferred: Advanced research experience in variant analysis, transcriptomics, sequence analysis, phylogenetics, population genetics, functional genomics, clinical genomics, or related computational genomics domains.Availability :Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.Minimum 4 hours of overlap with PST working hours per day.Immediate availability preferred.Ability to maintain consistent project participation and deliver tasks within required timelines.Average Task Handling Time: 6–8 hours per task.Others:Ability to work independently in a remote environment.Reliable laptop/computer and high-speed internet connection.Ability to work with scientific datasets, computational environments, and command-line tools.Ability to follow project guidelines, documentation standards, and reviewer feedback.What You’ll Work On:Design challenging, model-evaluative tasks in computational genomics and bioinformatics for GeneBench Pro.Create realistic computational biology problems requiring AI agents to interpret biological data, write and execute code, work across scientific files, and produce objectively verifiable outputs.Design tasks that reflect authentic genomics and bioinformatics workflows rather than standalone biology questions.Work with realistic scientific data including FASTA/FASTQ, VCF, BAM/SAM, BED, TSV/CSV, sequence annotations, expression data, germline and somatic variant data, and other genomics artifacts.Develop multi-step analysis tasks using Python, command-line tools, and established bioinformatics libraries.Design tasks that evaluate higher-order scientific judgment, including handling ambiguous or messy data, identifying artifacts, selecting appropriate analytical approaches, and revising assumptions based on intermediate results.Create clear task specifications, input datasets, expected output schemas, and deterministic or objectively verifiable ground truths.Develop expert reference solutions and reproducible computational workflows that run within the provided Python-based environment.Validate that tasks are scientifically correct, solvable from the supplied information, and sufficiently challenging for frontier AI models.Develop robust grading criteria that distinguish scientifically correct solutions from superficially plausible outputs.Work with computational genomics workflows such as variant analysis, transcriptomics, sequence analysis, phylogenetics, population genetics, functional genomics, and clinical genomics.Use or work with tools and libraries such as Biopython, pandas, NumPy, SciPy, samtools, bcftools, BLAST, PLINK, or equivalent tools.Design reproducible scientific pipelines and workflows.Evaluate AI/LLM systems on computational scientific tasks where applicable.Ensure deliverables are well documented, reproducible, and client-ready.Maintain high quality and throughput while incorporating reviewer feedback.Communicate progress, blockers, and scientific or technical requirements to project leads and reviewers.Interested candidates: Please share your updated CV at: raviteja.k@zettamine.comThanks & Regards,RaviTeja KZettaMine
