Role Description The Director at GIICT is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Bengaluru, responsible for strategic, academic, and operational oversight of the institute. This role includes setting the vision and roadmap for programs in Analog IC Design and VLSI, overseeing curriculum development, and ensuring that training aligns with current industry standards and employer expectations. The Director will manage and mentor faculty and staff, coordinate industry partnerships, and drive initiatives that enhance learner outcomes, including project-based learning and placement support. Day-to-day activities involve reviewing program performance metrics, engaging with corporate and academic stakeholders, representing GIICT at conferences and industry events, and leading continuous improvement for teaching methodologies and tools. The Director also ensures compliance with relevant educational and institutional policies while maintaining a high-quality, inclusive learning environment.QualificationsStrong background in Analog IC Design, VLSI, or semiconductor engineering, with deep understanding of industry practices and emerging trends.Experience in academic leadership, technical training, or program management, including curriculum design and oversight of hands-on, project-based learning.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with industry, academia, and professional organizations to support placements and collaborative projects.Proven skills in people management, mentoring, and team development, with the ability to foster an inclusive and learner-centric culture.Capabilities in strategic planning, operations management, and data-driven decision-making to enhance institutional performance and learner outcomes.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with learners, faculty, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a closely related field; relevant industry or teaching experience strongly preferred.Prior experience in a training institute, university, or corporate learning environment is an advantage, as is familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools.
