Team members help continue the mission started by the founders: delivering consistent service, quality, and hospitality to communities across the country.Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Antioch, TN, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and leading a team of Associates. This role manages staffing, scheduling, and training to ensure excellent customer service and consistent food quality. The Unit Manager monitors sales, costs, and inventory, supports cash handling and deposit procedures, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position also focuses on developing team members, resolving customer concerns, and upholding company standards and policies. The Unit Manager collaborates with regional leadership to meet performance goals and drive long-term growth for the restaurant.Qualifications Experience in restaurant or retail management, including leading teams and supervising daily operations.Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with Guests and Associates.Basic financial and business skills, such as managing labor, food costs, inventory, and cash handling procedures.Operational skills in scheduling, training, and performance coaching to support a high-functioning team.Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, following food safety and workplace safety guidelines.Effective communication and problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure.Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24/7 operation.High school diploma or equivalent; prior leadership experience in food service or hospitality is highly beneficial.Commitment to Waffle House’s values of teamwork, integrity, and promoting from within.
