With a history of stability and reliability, the bank focuses on innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs and support community growth.Role Description The Universal Banker is a full-time, on-site role located in Tupelo, MS, responsible for delivering comprehensive banking services to consumer and business clients. This role includes assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, cash handling, and account maintenance, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to bank policies. The Universal Banker will open and service new accounts, support consumer and small business loan inquiries, and make appropriate referrals to lending and other financial service areas. Daily tasks also include resolving customer questions, promoting bank products and services, and maintaining a professional and welcoming branch environment. The position requires consistent collaboration with team members to meet branch goals and provide an excellent customer experience.Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and handle inquiries in a professional manner.Experience with deposits and account services, including opening, maintaining, and explaining checking, savings, and other deposit products.Accurate cash handling skills, including balancing cash drawers, processing transactions, and following security and compliance procedures.Basic knowledge of loans and credit products, with the ability to assist customers, gather information, and refer to appropriate lending staff.Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow banking regulations, policies, and procedures.Proficiency with computer systems and banking software; ability to learn new tools and processes quickly.Prior retail banking or financial services experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.Ability to work on-site during regular business hours, collaborate with colleagues, and adapt to changing customer needs and branch priorities.
