- Rather than rotating through separate job assignments, this single, comprehensive role empowers the individual to operate across every facet of the branch, acting as the primary point of contact for client transactions, service inquiries and sales opportunities.
- The Universal Banker is responsible for processing teller transactions with speed and accuracy, resolving complex customer service issues, and proactively identifying financial product solutions to meet client goals.
- By unifying these responsibilities, the position ensures operational flexibility, delivers a consistent and efficient client journey, and provides the banker with a holistic understanding of the business, enabling them to thrive as a versatile, customer-centric professional.
- This is an entry-level opportunity for fresh graduates to build a comprehensive foundation across branch operations, sales and relationship management, and business customer advisory from day one.Main Accountabilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers at the branch, handling transactions, service inquiries and sales opportunities in a single, seamless interaction.
- Process end-to-end cash and counter transactions with speed and accuracy, including cash evacuation, till balancing, and large-value transactions for premier and corporate customers within authorization limits.
- Manage customer account servicing requests — account opening support, cheque book and account closure requests, mandate/signature changes, standing instructions, e-statement/internet banking registration and outward/inward payment processing (domestic and international).
- Reduce over-the-counter footfall by proactively migrating customers to digital and self-service channels (ADM, BIR, IVR, internet/mobile banking).
- Drive sales performance by identifying customer needs and cross-selling the Bank's products and services, achieving monthly referral and sales targets (minimum one qualified referral per day).
- Build and grow a portfolio of customer relationships, including prestige and business/commercial customers to generate sustainable growth in balances, revenue and product holding; proactively reactivate low-balance or overdrawn accounts.
- Support Mid-Corp & SME customers with account transactions, KYC/documentation, and basic trade and liabilities product inquiries, referring complex needs to specialist teams.
- Own and resolve customer queries and complaints end to end — balance inquiries, collected cheques, statement regeneration, transfer/SWIFT and fee inquiries — escalating where necessary and taking steps to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain operational compliance across all activities, including adherence to transaction/authorization limits, KYC, sanctions screening, AML, fraud prevention, Health & Safety, and security of premises.
- Work collaboratively with the branch team, providing cover for colleagues when required, sharing knowledge and best practice, and pursuing self-development to build a holistic understanding of the business.

- Fresh university graduate; no prior banking experience required, this is an entry-level, fully integrated role
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university (Commerce, Business, Economics, Finance or related field preferred)
- Ability to multi-task and confidently move between operational, sales and advisory conversations
- Very Good command of English (spoken and written)
