The team is reimagining how home care works by replacing rigid systems and costly services with flexible, real-time assistance tailored to each user’s lifestyle.Role Description This is a full-time, remote, unpaid Full Stack Developer & AI Trainer Internship role. The intern will build robust web and mobile features while actively training and fine-tuning Spruced’s core AI models and home management workflows. Day-to-day tasks include developing responsive frontend components and scalable backend services; integrating LLMs and real-time data pipelines; curating datasets, evaluating model outputs, and refining prompt engineering strategies; collaborating with design and product to ship end-to-end features; and optimizing system performance, API reliability, and overall user experience. This role offers hands-on exposure to a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment and the unique opportunity to bridge traditional full-stack engineering with cutting-edge AI applications.QualificationsStrong foundation in full-stack software development, including experience building and deploying responsive web or mobile applications.Proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Flask, or Node.js) and database management.Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, data curation, model evaluation, and fine-tuning workflows.Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs, managing asynchronous data flows, and implementing clean, maintainable code architecture.Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote engineering team, communicate technical decisions clearly, and iterate rapidly based on feedback.Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating full-stack projects, AI integrations, clean code practices, and problem-solving abilities.Interest in home management, consumer apps, or AI-powered products, and high motivation to learn, build, and grow in an early-stage startup environment.
