The two core rulesKeep customer, venture and function branches isolated.Obtain specific human approval before important actions. You test both rules. Engineers control access, configuration, merges and releases. You report and escalate failures, preserve evidence and retest authorised fixes. What you will learn and doUse supplied accounts and roles across two synthetic customer branches; check permitted access as well as denied cross-branch access.Test web and API permissions, resource-ID changes and incorrect role or token use within the approved lab scope.Check that an important action cannot proceed with missing approval or approval for a different action, branch or version.Examine authorised examples of search, reports, exports, downloads, notifications and logs for unintended exposure.Record the test environment/version, source rule, expected result, observed result, evidence, defect and remaining coverage gaps.Verify that audit records identify the correct branch, actor and approval event in the supplied test scenarios.Turn suitable repeatable checks into small automated regression tests under mentor review.Draft sections of an internal isolation and approval test report, explain limitations and prepare a usable handover.Cache, queue, backup, deletion and resource-limit scenarios may be introduced later when included in the approved test plan and supervised by a qualified reviewer. Prior mastery of these areas is not an entry requirement. What you need at entrySome practical exposure to web or API testing through coursework, labs, personal projects or a junior role.A basic understanding of authentication, permissions and roles.Clear English notes that distinguish expected behaviour, observations and suspected causes.Careful handling of evidence and willingness to correct errors, ask for approval and escalate uncertainty.Acceptance of the unpaid on-site programme, the approved attendance days/dates and the JLT commute.Postman or Burp Suite familiarity is useful; you can learn the approved tools during the Internship.
