We combine AI solutions, commercial expertise, and complex business logic to address government and federal agencies biggest challenges.Job SummaryAs the US IT recruiter, you will lead talent acquisition for Thoriva’s fast‑growing, AI‑first startup. You will actively cultivate a startup culture rooted in innovation, agility, and data‑driven decision‑making, while attracting and placing mission‑driven IT professionals who thrive in an entrepreneurial, AI‑centric environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, screen, and engage qualified IT and technical candidates for roles supporting federal and state government programs, including cleared and non-cleared positionsManage full-cycle recruiting across multiple active requisitions, from intake through offer acceptance, with a focus on speed, quality, and candidate experiencePartner closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand technical requirements, team dynamics, and mission context for each roleBuild and maintain talent pipelines for recurring skill sets including software engineers, AI/ML practitioners, cloud architects, program managers, and cleared technical professionalsLeverage LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking, and referrals to identify passive and active candidates in competitive federal IT marketsTrack and manage candidate activity, maintaining accurate records and reporting on pipeline metricsSupport employer branding efforts by communicating Thoriva's mission, culture, and growth story compellingly to prospective candidatesCoordinate interviews, gather feedback, and move candidates through the process with clear communication and a strong sense of urgencyStay current on hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and the federal IT talent landscape to advise hiring managers effectivelyRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or a related fieldStrong understanding of technical requirements and/or experience recruiting in the Federal spaceDemonstrated interest in or exposure to IT recruiting, technical sourcing, or the federal government contracting spaceStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical professionals authenticallyHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, startup environmentProficiency with LinkedIn and standard productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or equivalent)Preferred QualificationsPrior experience recruiting for cleared or federal IT positionsFamiliarity with common federal IT skill sets and contract vehicle types (e.g., T&M, FFP, cost-plus)Experience using a CRM platform for candidate trackingUnderstanding of security clearance levels and the cleared talent marketExposure to AI, cloud, or emerging technology roles in a government contextCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary with incentive compensation tied to financial performance, portfolio profitability, and successful execution of pricing strategiesComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO)Hybrid work environment with flexibility for remote work and in-person collaboration days in McLean, VASignificant influence over how Thoriva structures and scales its public-sector business, with direct access to the CEO and leadership team
