User Experience Designer

We’re looking for a User Experience Designer to join iakoe. We're an agency that specialises in designing, building and optimising Shopify stores. We work with the most exciting design-led brands in the US. We’re a tight knit team not taking ourselves too seriously, occasionally fighting fires together and doing work we’re really proud of.What Will You Be Doing?As a User Experience Designer at iakoe, you’ll be responsible for designing Shopify storefronts and eCommerce experiences that balance customer needs, brand expression and commercial goals. You’ll turn insights and requirements into intuitive, engaging shopping journeys across discovery, product, cart and checkout experiences.You’ll champion user-centric and conversion-focused design, applying strong UX, UI and eCommerce principles while working within the Shopify ecosystem. You’ll also help guide other designers, contribute to our design standards and collaborate closely with developers and strategists to bring ambitious storefronts to life.Along the way, you’ll stay curious about emerging eCommerce trends, Shopify capabilities, design patterns and new approaches - working alongside talented colleagues who will challenge you, support you and help you continue to develop your craft.Essential Requirements4+ years design and agency experienceExperience of leading projects from concept to completion, from sketched wireframes to eCommerce experiencesExperience of delivering high quality designs across different devices such as mobile, tablet and desktopsProficient in FigmaAbility to take a client’s brief and business problems, ask the right questions, gain an understanding, synthesise and communicate research findings and iterate towards solutionsAbility to work in a fast-paced delivery environment while making effective decisions, sometimes within tight time constraintsExperience designing for accessibilityExperience working with design systems and frameworks What We Can Offer YouFully remote roleFlexible working hoursA collaborative culture where unconventional thinkers come together to solve digital problems
