User Experience Designer (UI/UX)

Job descriptionThe UI/UX Designer plays a critical role in designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces that support VisioStack’s cloud-native software solutions for the railway industry. This role is responsible for translating complex technical and operational requirements into clear, engaging, and efficient user experiences that enhance usability, accessibility, and customer satisfaction.Working closely with the Lead Designer, product managers, and engineering teams, the UI/UX Designer contributes to the design and evolution of VisioStack’s digital products by applying human-centered design principles, and best practices in UI/UX design. This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys collaborating across disciplines and creating thoughtful, data-driven design solutions in a technology-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesUser Experience & Interface DesignDesign intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web-based software applications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and ease of useTranslate product requirements, workflows, and user needs into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designsCollaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and effectively implementedApply usability principles to optimize navigation, information hierarchy, and interaction designCollaboration & Creative ExecutionPartner closely with the Lead Designer to execute and support the company’s creative vision across digital productsParticipate in design reviews and iterative feedback cycles to continuously refine UI/UX solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between design intent, technical requirements, and business goalsContribute to the evolution and maintenance of design systems, UI standards, and visual guidelinesMobile-Friendly Experiences Design mobile-friendly, responsive experiences for data-dense contentAbility to understand professional users' needs to complete complex work tasks quicklyIncorporate stakeholder input and customer feedback into design decisionsStay current on industry trends, tools, accessibility standards, and best practicesBrand & Visual ConsistencyEnsure all user interface designs align with VisioStack’s brand identity and visual standardsSupport consistency across products and platforms through thoughtful application of typography, color, layout, and interaction patternsAssist in creating visually engaging and professional interfaces that reinforce VisioStack’s reputation for innovation and qualityQualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent work experienceExperience in UI/UX design for digital products, preferably SaaS or data-driven applicationsProficient in Figma and experienced in Photoshop and IllustratorStrong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability best practicesAbility to communicate design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and creative leadershipLife at VisioStackAt VisioStack, our mission is to push the boundaries of growth in railway technology, in ourselves, and in those we interact with—living at the intersection of purpose and profession.
