Senior User ResearcherLocation: Hybrid – UK (Travel to client sites and regional offices as required)Salary: Up to £70,000We're looking for a Senior User Researcher to join a growing digital consultancy delivering impactful transformation projects across the public and private sectors. You'll work alongside designers, product managers, developers and delivery teams to uncover user needs, influence product direction and ensure digital services are built around real people.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced researcher who enjoys leading discovery, mentoring others and helping organisations make evidence-based decisions.As a Senior User Researcher, you'll lead research activities across complex digital programmes, ensuring products and services are shaped by genuine user insight. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, championing user-centred design from discovery through to delivery.ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead qualitative and quantitative user research across the full product lifecycle.Turn research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and design teams.Work closely with designers, developers and Product Managers to shape user-centred digital services.Facilitate workshops and present research findings to stakeholders at all levels.Champion inclusive research practices and accessibility throughout delivery.Mentor and support junior researchers, helping develop research capability across teams.Build trusted relationships with clients while confidently challenging assumptions using evidence.Support business growth through proposals, thought leadership and community engagement.Skills & ExperienceEssentialStrong commercial experience delivering user research across complex digital products or services.Expertise in planning, conducting and synthesising qualitative and quantitative research.Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to translate research insights into practical product and service improvements.Experience mentoring, coaching or leading other researchers.Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and service design.Confidence presenting findings and influencing product decisions through evidence.DesirableConsultancy experience.Experience working within Government or Public Sector digital programmes.Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design research.Familiarity with GDS service standards and user-centred delivery.If you think this role is a fit for you, or somebody you may know don't hesitate to reach out.
