We’re building out our core team to scale what we do.Role Overview:We’re hiring a Design Events Lead to own our events vertical end to end as a member of the core team. This is a leadership and ownership role, not an executional one - you will define our events strategy, set the systems, and build a distributed network that runs UXPective events across multiple cities. Because this role carries full ownership of a vertical, it is structured as a contractual partnership with profit-share rather than a salaried position.Key Responsibilities:• Own the events vertical end to end as the decision-maker: strategy, calendar, formats, and distribution.• Set the systems and standards for how UXPective events run.• Recruit, onboard, and direct a city-ambassador network to host UXPective events across multiple cities.• Own the distribution and growth of events beyond a single city.• Make the calls on formats, speakers, and which cities to expand into.You lead and set direction. Execution - posters, outreach, logistics is handled by the team and ambassadors. Your role is to build the system and run it, not to run the errands.Skills and Qualifications:• A UX designer or events professional with a few years of relevant experience.• Someone who wants to own a vertical and sit in a leadership seat, not execute someone else’s plan.• Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable building something from the ground up.• Strong at community-building, networking, and getting people into a room.Compensation & Structure::• Core team member with full ownership of the events vertical.• 60% profit-share on every event run under your vertical, including those executed by your ambassadors.• No fixed hours.
