As a UX Researcher, you will play a critical role in developing deep, actionable insights into the needs, behaviours, and desires of customers. This role centres on qualitative research: planning and executing studies, interfacing directly with customers, and synthesising rich qualitative insights across the organisation. You will contribute to the research strategy and work closely with senior stakeholders and the wider UX research team.What you'll be doingYou will contribute to the UX Research function by carrying out qualitative research across a digital product portfolio. Your responsibilities include:Research Execution: Plan and conduct a broad range of generative, iterative, and evaluative qualitative research activities, such as in-depth user interviews, contextual inquiry, ethnographic field studies, and usability testing across web and mobile.Insight Generation: Analyse and synthesise complex qualitative data — including interview transcripts, observational notes, and usability sessions — to identify themes, patterns, and actionable insights, with meticulous documentation of findings.Narrative & Storytelling: Distil rich, sometimes ambiguous qualitative findings into clear, compelling narratives that give stakeholders a deep understanding of user needs, motivations, and pain points.Organisational Translation: Act as a research consultant across multiple product lines, identifying patterns that impact the wider organisation while translating specific nuances for individual teams.Stakeholder Communication: Create compelling research reports and presentations for senior management, presenting analysis and recommendations succinctly and clearly and translating research findings into actionable product, design, and business strategies.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with designers, product managers, engineering teams, and business partners. Participate in design brainstorming sessions and workshops to guide design decisions and collaborate on potential solutions in a timely manner.ResearchOps: Champion research operations by maintaining participant recruitment pipelines, research repositories, and reusable templates to scale research quality, efficiency, and the accessibility of insights across the organisation.RequirementsRequirements3-6 years of experience in UX research.Deep expertise in qualitative research methods, including both traditional and modern approaches to recruitment and reporting.Skilled in qualitative analysis techniques such as thematic analysis and affinity mapping, and in producing deliverables such as service design blueprints, journey maps, and process flows.Ability to select the right qualitative methods and synthesise timely insights into coherent, actionable deliverables for design, product, business, and technology teams.Expertise in defining research objectives with product, design, brand, and engineering teams to support the entire product lifecycle.Strong understanding of product design processes and emerging technologies.Comfortable collaborating with Product, Tech, Data, and Business partners to deliver quality services and experiences.Mandarin proficiency is a mandatory requirement for this role.Candidates must currently be based in Singapore and be available to attend face-to-face interviews.Portfolio & Case Study RequirementsPlease include a portfolio link when submitting your CV. Portfolios will be a primary part of the screening review.Candidates should be prepared to walk the interviewer through one or two relevant portfolio examples during the interview.Please include case studies for the hiring managers to review as part of the screening process.Good-to-haveFamiliarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).Experience with AI-augmented research methods and tools.Experience with quantitative research methods (e.g., surveys, A/B testing, product analytics, CSAT) to complement and triangulate qualitative findings.
