This approach aims to empower small businesses with modern technology while avoiding the complexity and cost of traditional SaaS models.Role Description The UX/UI Designer will work on-site in the United States in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to design intuitive interfaces for OwnOutright’s web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting user research, creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups, and designing interaction patterns that align with small business needs. The designer will develop and refine design systems, ensure visual consistency across products, and participate in usability testing to validate design decisions. This role also involves translating complex requirements into simple, accessible experiences and providing ongoing design support throughout the development cycle.Qualifications Strong skills in user experience design, including user research, journey mapping, and information architecture.Proficiency in user interface design, visual design, and interaction design using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or similar).Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and design systems for web applications, with attention to responsive layouts.Knowledge of usability best practices, accessibility standards (such as WCAG), and human-centered design principles.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate design rationale clearly, and iterate based on feedback.Understanding of front-end capabilities (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to partner efficiently with developers.Previous experience designing for small business or productivity tools is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
