Continuous professional development ensures the team stays current with evolving technologies, products, and practices.Role Description:The Valcunizer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The role involves performing vulcanizing work on conveyor belts and related transmission systems, including belt laying, jointing, splicing, and repair in industrial environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting belt systems, identifying wear or damage, preparing surfaces and materials for vulcanizing, and operating vulcanizing presses and related tools safely and efficiently. The Valcunizer collaborates with maintenance and engineering teams to support scheduled shutdowns, annual maintenance projects, and emergency repairs while adhering to safety standards and company procedures. The role also requires completing service reports, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting continuous improvement in maintenance practices.QualificationsPractical experience in conveyor belt vulcanizing, belt laying, splicing, and jointing in industrial settings.Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and maintenance procedures.Knowledge of industrial safety standards, safe handling of tools and equipment, and use of PPE.Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting belt systems and related machinery.Strong attention to detail, quality-focused work approach, and commitment to meeting project deadlines.Ability to work on-site in factory and oil installation environments, including shifts and field assignments.Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate work with engineers and maintenance staff.Previous experience in industrial maintenance, fabrication, or similar roles; experience in conveyor services is an advantage.Relevant vocational training or certification in mechanical, industrial, or maintenance disciplines is preferred.
