Riyadh Pharma emphasizes efficiency, specialized manufacturing and sales expertise, and employs highly qualified professionals to ensure quality, reliability, and growth opportunities.Role Description The Validation & Calibration Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting validation activities for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and processes in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements. The engineer performs calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instruments and systems, ensures compliance with internal standards and external regulations, and supports audits and inspections. Day-to-day tasks include preparing validation protocols and reports, coordinating with maintenance and production teams, monitoring equipment performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and safety. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, managing calibration schedules, and supporting training related to validation and calibration procedures.JOB DESCRIPTIONExecute the calibration activities of the equipment’s, instruments and devices and preserve their performance by managing the calibration dates.Prepare, execute and follow-up on the planned protocols and reports for the Equipment/system/instrument qualification and Mapping studies.Coordinate with the external calibration service providers by means of sending/receiving the instruments and devices to be up to date calibrated.Review the related procedures of the equipment/system/utility that are under qualification, ensure of conformance in accordance with as regulations, and built status.Ensure of good documentation practices for the calibration and calibration related procedures, records and reports.Preserve and update the calibration schedules and reference devices, and follow-up on the calibration activities for all equipment, instruments and devices.Coordinate with QA to ensure of calibration documents created and updated as per cGMP.To ensure calibration devices and instruments are maintained, organized and stored in an appropriate way to ensure of their accuracy.Prepare and conduct IQ and OQ for the production machineries.Coordinate the validation and calibration activities with the team and other department’s managers and supervisors, and follow-up on the completion of calibration and validation activities regarding to the related issued protocols and procedures.Collect the Temperature and Relative Humidity data from production facilities and warehouses, and issue the monthly/annual reports regarding to the data.Upgrade and develop the calibration instruments as necessary and update the instruments that are required to do the calibration activities as intended.Implement the proper training for the operators who will use the equipment/instrument in the production facilities, laboratories and warehouses.Issue the calibration deviation and out of limit reports and follow-up on the investigation until solving the reasons and causes.Follow-up on the change control system that related to the validation and calibration activities.Contribute the internal audits as scheduled and prepare the audits reports as intended.Issue the weekly, monthly and quarterly reports with the indicated KPIs.Adhere to the general safety instructions and report any indicators for addressing and improving the general safety conditions.Handle other duties as assigned which fall in the scope of the job.Reporting to Validation and Calibration Manager.In absence of above employee, other qualified employee will be nominated to handle his activities.
